A simple call or email and one of our wedding co-ordinators will be delighted to arrange a suitable time so they can offer you the best viewing possible of our beautiful property, including the bedrooms where possible.

Brabazon Restaurant is located in the lower courtyard area to the rear of the Main House. This area is known as The Garden Village and has its own dedicated entrance. The Restaurant remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays of each week.

Can you tell me a bit more about guest accommodation at Tankardstown?

It is a requirement to book all seven Manor House rooms on the wedding night. Tankardstown House has five luxurious bedrooms in the Manor House plus the Library Suite and Master Suite sleeping a total of 14 people. In addition, there are seven beautifully appointed Courtyard Cottage Suites situated in the adjacent courtyard which sleep a further 44 guests. Furthermore, the Barn & Stables alongside Tankardstown Lodge offer an additional twenty-two bedrooms sleeping an additional 44 guests. Overall, Tankardstown can offer accommodation for 102 guests in total on the estate. Breakfast is included in all overnight rates.

Is there other accommodation in the area?

Yes, there are several alternative accommodation options in the area, and we have a list with names and contact details which can be provided. We would recommend that alternative accommodation is booked well in advance to avoid any disappointment nearer to the time. In terms of transport, there is a local transport company who we would recommend (due to our remote location), that you can contact and book to have your guests shuttled back and forth to the accommodation in the surrounding area.

Is there the option to host a two-day event?

Yes, we can host a two-day event, any two days Saturday to Wednesday subject to availability. (Please note that Fridays, Bank Holiday weekends and dates around Christmas are considered single day events). Where a pre- or post-wedding day falls on a Monday or Tuesday, you are contractually obliged to fill the seven Manor House bedrooms along with the wedding night. Wedding parties can choose to enjoy a family dinner in Brabazon Restaurant from a Set Menu tailored so dishes will not coincide with those planned for the Wedding Dinner. For the day after the wedding a BBQ can be organised and is a very popular choice with our guests.

How do we select dishes for our Wedding Dinner?

The selection of dishes will depend on which Wedding Package you have selected. A lot of careful thought and planning by our team of Chef’s has been injected into creating the Master Wedding Menu. Each and every dish on this Menu has been tested to ensure that only the finest produce is being served in its prime, combining elements and flavours to please most palates. It is also imperative that these dishes can be expedited for large numbers, without any compromise.

What happens at the Pre-Wedding Tasting?

Your wedding co-ordinator will be in contact with you to consider a date for your pre wedding tasting. Based on your wedding package you should submit your choices of the ideal wedding meal that you would both like to sample and potentially serve to your guests on your wedding day. This information would be required approx. 14 days prior to the arranged time/date. At the tasting then, you will both enjoy some quiet time in the Garden Village where this Meal will be served up to you with great care and attention to detail. If you have any related thoughts or questions, Chef will be happy to answer them. You can also taste one or two of our house wines with your meal, which you can consider serving along with your wedding meal. The Wedding Tasting is complimentary for the couple getting married.

Do you cater for all special dietary requirements?

Yes, Chef will accommodate for all special dietary requirements with advance notice. We can also cater for 100% vegetarian/vegan weddings should the couple wish to avail of this for their special day.

Do you offer corkage?

Tankardstown does offer a Corkage facility, although as our packages include some alcohol, we do encourage our couples to check out our wine list which has been carefully created to compliment the dishes chosen by you for your menu. If you wish to further discuss corkage, please ask to your wedding co-ordinator for information.

Can you facilitate disabled guests?

We welcome disabled guests wherever possible at Tankardstown and try to facilitate their needs as best as possible, however, Tankardstown is an 18th Century House, so please discuss your requirements with us in advance to ensure the best laid plans can be put in place to make the day as enjoyable as possible for everyone.
